Before you start using it, you only need to set the source folder for compressed pictures and the output folder for compressed pictures. After the settings are completed, put the pictures to be compressed into the source folder, select the appropriate compression scheme, and then click the “Start” button, the tool will automatically perform the batch compression task.
The software offers three compression schemes:
- Specify Size: Compresses images according to the file size you set.
- Compressed as a percentage of the original image: Scale down picture files.
- Reduce to a certain percentage of the original image size: Reduces the picture size by a set ratio.
If there are no special requirements, just choose the first option by default. After the compression is finished, the tool will show the compression result in the message bar. After opening the output folder, you can immediately view the compressed image, the image file size will be significantly different compared to the original image.
It is worth noting that this software uses a lossy compression method, which can significantly reduce the size of the image file, but it will also reduce the resolution of the image. Therefore, when setting the compression parameters, it is recommended to operate carefully according to the upload requirements to avoid over-compression affecting the image quality.
